National Cadet Corps (NCC)

About NCC

The NCC provides the appropriate environment to develop discipline, responsibility leadership, and mobility among the guides and students. This will not only help the students to join the defense services, but it will also help NCC Certificate holders to avail of various incentives from academics as well as state and central government in the field of employment. The NCC is open to all regular students of the university voluntarily. Every year in July the students are informed about the fresh enrolment (only for the first-year students). The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service.

The NCC is one of the allied forces of the defense force. Here cadets are trained like soldiers and trained to face any kind of hardships that come their way. Apart from regular parade training the cadets of the university also take part in various activities such as weapon training, national integration, the historical, geographical, and religious background of India, leadership training, first aid, aid to civil authorities, civil defense, ecology/nature awareness, self-defense, giving information about NCC, hygiene and sanitation, social service, adventure training, map reading, field craft, scout and patrol, military history. The cadets of the college actively participate in various national camps and competitions.
